How to claim on your horse insurance
Claims made easy
We have worked hard to make claiming as easy as possible. You can claim online or by phone and there aren’t any paper claims forms to complete. We’ll even contact the vet for you. Log in to get started.
How to Start Your Claim
When your horse experiences an illness or injury, the first step is to submit your claim promptly. Gather all necessary documents, including your policy number, vet invoices, and any medical records related to the incident.
Log in to your online account or use our claims portal to upload these documents and complete the claim form. If you need assistance, our team is here to guide you through the process.

What Happens After Submission
Once your claim is submitted, our dedicated Claims Support team will begin reviewing it. If additional information is needed, such as detailed medical records or clarification from your vet, we’ll handle that communication for you so you can focus on caring for your horse.
You’ll receive updates at every stage of the process, ensuring you’re never left wondering about the status of your claim.

Choose How You’d Like to Be Paid
When submitting your claim, you can select whether you'd like us to pay you directly or reimburse your vet (as long as they agree). This flexibility ensures that funds are sent where they’re needed most.
Once approved, we’ll notify you immediately and process payment as quickly as possible so you can focus on what matters most—your horse’s recovery.

Stay Informed Every Step of the Way
You can easily track the progress of your claim by logging into your online account. We’ll also send a detailed breakdown of your claim via email once it’s processed. If you don’t see an email within 72 hours of submission, be sure to check your spam or junk folder. Staying informed has never been easier with our transparent and user-friendly tracking tools.

How to Claim FAQs
All the questions you’ve ever wanted to ask about our claims process.
Per your policy terms and conditions, we must be notified of any accidents, injuries, illnesses or diseases the horse has as soon as possible. You can do this via phone, email or through our MyStableCover portal. If you notify us of a condition during the policy period and all policy terms are met and the claim is agreed, you then have a 6 month lameness limit for medical claims. For all other claims, you have until 90 days from the end of the policy period to claim for that condition or until the medical limit is reached, whichever occurs first.
Please note this is all subject to the policy terms and conditions and no coverage is afforded until a claim is investigated.

Yes. Although it does depend on your vet.
Should your vet allow us to review the claim documentation before requiring payment from you, we can issue payment directly to the vet for what the policy can cover if the claim is agreed. You would still be responsible for any veterinary charges not covered by the policy or all veterinary charges in the event of a denial of coverage.

Please send over the further related itemized invoices via email or through the portal to your designated adjuster who initially was assigned the claim, they can then review subject to all policy terms and conditions.
